2012.
Happy New Year.
Our previous day was spent with my husbands family celebrating Christmas. After the gift exchange, we packed up our children and headed back home.
Last night, we spent our new years eve at home. The children weren't feeling good and I was suffering from allergies. My mom came over, his father and sister came by. The children watched Diego and we played monopoly. At midnight, we watched the fireworks go off, gave kisses, and wished in the new year.
Lol. My hubby just caught me on here.
It's a new year, so I thought I would keep track of our lives, my crafts, and the crazy ups and downs of the silent ranks.
New Years Resolutions:
Wear heels more often
Lose weight/ then tone
read 50 novels
What would I like to accomplish this year?
1. Get myself back. After 4 1/2 years of marriage and 3 children I let my body, brain, and hobbies go. So I would like to get back in shape. At 5 ft - 163lbs. isn't healthy.
2. We are turning the other half of the laundry room into my craft room, so maybe I can keep track of everything I have wanted to do, promised to do, and worst of all - started to do and never finished.
3. Cooking. I want to get better. I have never made the same lasagna exact last year. I learned how to make a lot of items by scratch (pumpkin pie, apple pie, fried pickles, etc.) and I want to do more, especially for and with the kids.
4. Scheduling. I want to get the children on a regular schedule. My oldest should start pre-k in the fall and I need a better schedule for all of them then what we have. I want to start homeschooling the younger ones better than what I have.
5. Deployment. I am a part of the Marine Corps silent ranks. I've been through one Afghan deployment. It wasn't fun. It was very stressful, I had one child and was pregnant, gave birth and raised both boys while he was gone. Now we're in our own house, I have 3 children, and he'll be gone longer. It wont be easy, but I have to get through it. I have to make sure that the children remember him and keep them in the right frame of mind during this deployment.
Today, we slept in. After waking up late and playing on facebook. I started a poking war with all of my friends. I got the phone call saying my grandmother had fallen at church. She ended up slipping while walking in the parking lot and breaking her nose. = ( We headed over there as planned for our family New Years potluck. The kids played pretty quietly while we were there. When they started getting rowdy, we packed up and came home.
I got on here to start this.
So Hello, and thank you for reading.
